The Green Train is a wonderful way to see the beauty of the countryside around Bosa as it trundles its way slowly through vineyards and olive groves. Passing through the valley where the famous Malvasia di Bosa is produced. The pace is relaxed and the trip can include wine tasting and some local delicacies. Journey starts at the small station in Bosa Marina where tickets can be purchased.
The award winning golf course at Is Arenas is a short drive from Bosa and gives the golf lover a chance to play on a superb course with some stunning views. After a game there is lots more to explore in this part of the coast.
A superb morning can be passed taking a boat trip up along the coast to Cappo Murragiu the coast is unspoilt and so beautiful, the boat pulls in to a lovely cove only accesable by boat for a spot of swimming or snorkeling
For those who like to know about the history and culture of the area, Bosa has several museums and it is also very interesting to visit one of the many mysterious Nuraghe there are all over Sardinia
Some of the nearby villages are well worth a visit. Two are the side by side villages of Flusio and Tinnura. One is the local centre for the weaving of asfodel where you can find baskets and other products for sale at the roadside the next village has many amazing murals.
There are a couple of local companies offering diving for both the experienced and novice divers, all the necessary equipment is provided.
For foodies Bosa is fantastic, there are so many great restaurants its hard to know where to start, there is the full range of experiences from simple beach bar food to fine dining restaurants and of course there are some superb local wines to try. Another great thing about dining out in Bosa is that it is not as expensive as you would expect from the rest of Italy.
